Day Three! December 28, 2023

This is one of my favorites- a wooden birdhouse!

As always, the assistance of an adult is recommended for this project. The bag could be a suffocation or other hazard. It’s not designed for children to be completed on their own.

  1. The directions were pretty great for this one and are included in each package. (I made this version black and white for readability.)

2. One recommendation to make the project easier: between steps five and six, loop the string through the holes in the top of the roof from underneath. It would be difficult to get the string through both holes if they were both attached to the birdhouse already.

3. With respect to paint quantity, it took almost all of the birdhouse’s red paint to cover the roof. I’m not certain how closely the extra paint in the “bonus bag” included with each Epiphany Calendar® matches the paint included with the birdhouse so I wouldn’t plan on painting the entire birdhouse the same color.

4. There you have it! Paint it to your taste, or color it, or leave it plain, or add stickers- it’s up to you! You might want to put your extra paint from this project in your Epiphany Calendar bonus bag for use in other projects.

See you tomorrow for day four and if you have any suggestions, feedback, or issues, please contact us using the contact form. 🙂
